Five members are the agents of the International Science Organization in Tokyo in the near future. Galactor, a mysterious group with high technologies has declared war on the world and they have already gained a half. A strange object like glass called "Stone" is the last hope of humanity. Who have the ability to take power from the "stone" is gathered and trained to become agents in a group of 5 people named "Gatchaman".
